Lauren’s successful career in project management laid the foundation. She served as a project manager consulting for Fortune 100 companies where she delivered multi-million-dollar software integration programs and reported to senior leadership. She was also a part-owner of a management software company.
That experience convinced Lauren to start a company where she focused on her interest in character properties. “When I returned from college to live in Cambridge, I was intrigued by the well-preserved architecture that I had grown up around,” she says. “Today, it’s meaningful to contribute to a community where I have a long history.”
Lauren has since preserved and developed over 50 residences in Cambridge – from a charming candy shop to a landmark Queen Anne, ensuring each one is unique and built to last. “I strive to create a sense of place and let the house tell you what it wants to be,” she explains.
When not overseeing The Harder Group, Lauren serves on the Cambridge Historical Society Board and raises funds for Riverside Community Care and its mental health and domestic violence programs for families in Cambridge, Somerville and surrounding communities. You’ll also find her snowboarding and hiking in NH and attending events and games with her daughters.
